Manager, Incentives

The Manager is responsible for researching and identifying industry trends through dashboarding and analysis of Key Business Indicators (Sales, Inventory, Market, and Competitive Intel) to develop sales and incentives programs to support achieving business objectives. This includes but is not limited to key business and market KPIs and initiatives such as: sales target achievement by model; building brand loyalty; growth of the Subaru Financial Services Portfolio; improving competitive position with responsible incentives; residual management; and consumer initiatives.

The incumbent will report to the Senior Manager, Incentives & Sales Planning and will be based at head office of Subaru Canada, Inc. in Mississauga, Ontario.

The hiring range for this role is $ 100,000-$120,000 CAD. The initial base salary offered may vary depending on internal equity and each candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills and professional experience. This hiring is to backfill a vacant position.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead presentation of monthly Incentives Proposal and Market Analysis to key stakeholders and executive team.
  • Lead and develop monthly, quarterly, and annual review of Sales & Incentives results vs. Targets & KPIs
  • Leverage data and reporting to develop templates and dashboards for monthly Incentives Proposals
  • Development of incentives initiatives and lead activation in conjunction with key stakeholders.
  • Ad hoc support on reporting, sales projects and business planning initiatives.
  • Utilizing data to spearhead new sales opportunities and channels to drive business growth or retention.
  • Conduct in-depth Opportunity Cost Analysis and Scenario Based Planning through A - B Testing
  • Perform various analysis on internal reports and data Customer Portfolio, Penetrations, Demographics, mix etc.
  • Develop dashboards and modeling (Data Statistics) initiatives to support Business Planning and Decision Making
  • Provide in-depth competitive program, payment and residual analysis to gain insight and assist with future planning.
  • Support the execution of Lifecycle Management of models; Maturities & Pull-ahead Initiatives, and Renewal for returning Lease customers.
  • Research and analyze industry trends. Provide support to Sales Planning team to evaluate and determine business strategy.
  • Research and report OEM competitive programs, sales campaigns, report competitive market intelligence (including mystery shopping) and current economic conditions as they relate to sales incentives, subvention levels, transaction values, etc.
  • Conduct in-depth of market and program analysis to present findings to Sr Manager, Sales Planning.
  • Provide back up support to the Specialist and Sr. Manager as needed. Co-represent SCI with vendors and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal media department to ensure that brand identification on all financial services marketing materials meet Subaru’s brand requirements.
  • Support the development of dealer communications i.e. monthly bulletins and retail incentives
  • Prepare and deliver regular reporting and analysis on key business metrics, including sales performance, incentives, loyalty programs, and regional trends.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Commerce or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Expertise in data research, analyzing industry trends, incentive planning & data reporting is required.
  • Demonstrated experience with event management like Auto Shows, Lead Generation Initiatives or similar will be an asset.
  • Extremely Proficient in Power BI and Microsoft Office with expertise in Excel such as graphing, macros, and complex formulae.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Physical Conditions:

  • Extended periods of computer use.
  • Flexible work schedule – occasional evenings / weekends.
  • Domestic travel during auto show season, as required.
